Less than 2 weeks to go. Loaded the bike to see how it all carries and it's hefty. 70 lbs. of basics. Camp gear,tools,weeks worth of clothes, a few extra parts. Finish up the last of the visa paperwork this week. Posted a couple of bike pics. Not long now till roll out.

Well good for you, just a little note, and hopefully some good advice. As I train for a mere 100 mile ride, I have found that it is a lot more comfortable to ride with the saddle then it is to not have one.

just happened by your toolbox and seen a copy of your posting. your proably catching some shuteye while i'm typing this at work at 0338 hrs.  seems everything is going fine with your trip so far and hope it stays that way. i could tell you're missing work (ha ha). i hope to do my little trip only across the states, but on my motorcycle. enjoy life while you can.
